The pathways schools often use to support inclusive practices do not automatically lead toward friendships and belonging. This keynote will highlight critical components for fostering the social relationships and learning of students with disabilities in inclusive classrooms, clubs, and other school activities. Drawing upon nearly two decades of research with schools, Dr. Carter will address the promising alternatives to prevailing practices.
